Olympic Games Berlin 1936 Boykott badge - Very rare Swedish badge calling for a boycott of the Berlin 1936 Olympic Games: "Bojkotta Berlin Olympics. Friet ar Jansson och Mineur" Printed cardboard label with metal needle, 2.5 cm A copy of this badge is in the IOC Museum in Lausanne. Very rare! Needle broken off, but present. --This boycott call had been supported since 1935 by Communists and Social Democrats, who worked together in the Jansson Mineur Committee (1935–1938), an organization that campaigned for the release of two Swedish sailors who had been imprisoned in Nazi Germany in 1935 and remained in prison during the 1936 Olympic Games.
