Heidi Schmid wore this type of fencing mask at the 1960 and 1964 Olympic Games. Heidi Schmid won a gold medal at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome and a bronze medal with the team in Tokyo in 1964. She won vize world championships three times. The consignor received this mask from Heidi Schmid around 20 years ago. It cannot be verified whether Schmid wore this mask at the Olympic Games, but she wore exactly this type of mask in her competitions, as can be seen in photos. The red insulating tape, which should not actually be present on these masks, was later attached by Heidi Schmid herself. Condition: C+
